Crime Stoppers welcomes and accepts information about crimes that have happened in the past. Crime Stoppers also welcomes information if you happen to know in advance that a crime is likely to be committed.

Crime Stoppers provides a way for you to report anonymously any information you have about:

  • unsolved crime featured in the media,
  • people wanted by police,
  • criminals or criminal activity which may not be known to police,
  • people you know who have committed criminal offences but have not been arrested, or
  • suspicious or unusual activity.

If you have information about illegal activity or suspected perpetrators relating to crime anywhere in Australia, you can help by providing the information to Crime Stoppers.

To report crime related information, call us on 1800 333 000, or via Online Reporting. Crime Stoppers operates 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Crime Stoppers does not handle emergencies. Any incident you witness which requires immediate police action should be reported to 000 to request an emergency response.

If you have been the victim of a crime, such as had your car stolen or house burgled, you should report the incident to the local police on 131 444 or call ACT police on (02) 6256 7777.
